My name is Erin Williams, I created Femme a` Femme blog to inspire girls and women! I am a wife, three-time mother, registered nurse, daughter, sister, and friend. I ❤️ Jesus and spending time with family! Hobbies are anything girly, reading historical fiction, watching Netflix, and natural hair care!

I grew up in a family that encouraged me to think for myself, read, be ambitious, and always put my best foot forward. I grew up like most girls in the 90s, played with dolls, hung out with friends, took family vacations, nothing out of the ordinary. My life took an unexpected turn right after I graduated from high school, I found out I was pregnant! I did not know how my life would turn out. Despite my initial shock, I picked myself up, enrolled in college, and continued to live life. I was blessed with family and friends who were very supportive. I proceeded to become a registered nurse at the age of 21 and I married my high school sweetheart a few months later. We eventually added two more little boys to our family. We are now living life as a family of 5!

A few years ago I decided to return to school to get a bachelor’s degree in nursing. That was quite interesting to put it lightly. Throughout the course of getting the degree I felt as though I did not have enough time to spend with my family. I could not wait to be finished, and once I was it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders! I vowed not to return to school until my boys were grown.

Well fast forward, two years later and I’m back in school! This time for a master’s degree in nursing informatics. No the boys are not grown! However, this time has been different. Not easier, but I feel as though I have a better grip on things. Don’t get me wrong each semester has it’s own challenges, but I’m managing them better. Three semesters down, two to go! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Between working full time, raising 3 boys, and attending graduate school, I decided to start a blog! I know crazy right! The longer I live, the more I realize we all have a purpose each one is different, but no more or less meaningful. We can’t live out our purpose if we don’t believe we are capable. I’ve taken several non-traditional paths in life, each one added value to my life. Each goal I met made me more confident, and reinforced the belief that I could achieve anything I put my mind to. It’s not always easy, but it’s my life and I am thankful and grateful!
